This vintage shadow box is a unique and charming addition to any collection. The frame is handmade from wood and features a glass front, allowing you to view the specimens inside. The box contains 8 real butterfly specimens, each carefully labeled for identification. The intricate details of the frame and the delicate beauty of the butterflies make this piece a true work of art.
Image the time collecting and preserving these real taxidermy specimens and then hand making the specimen case. There was a lot of love and attention that went into this. The nostalgia of the search and meticulous care makes this a unique piece that is worthy of admiration to the collector and the specimens.
This makes a great stand alone work of art or a great accent to be used on the wall or on an easel. The colors are magnificent. The butterflies appear all intact. The frame and specimen box appears clean and crisp with some of the handmade and unique human flaws present. Just beautiful. Great as a gift
