After a few years he returned to his native West Yorkshire and went freelance in 1986. Illustrating for greeting card publishers rekindled his childhood love of painting and he soon tired of advertising work when he realized his hobby could become his living. Today, Trevor’s illustrations can be found on prints, cards, jigsaw puzzles, metal signs and collector plates all over the world. His painting reflects his enthusiasm for steam and vintage vehicles and his love of the countryside. He delights in recreating the past on canvas through careful research and is well known for his nostalgic, authentic scenes depicting British farming and rural life.

Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
