The Stemlite Table Lamp from Gubi is a meticulously remastered icon of 1960s space-age design. Moving away from the era’s traditional lampshades, the Stemlite features a "total look aesthetic where the frosted glass globe appears to bloom directly from a slender, organic steel stem. This seamless silhouette, which famously appeared on the set of the original Star Trek series, has been updated for the modern home with a hidden counterweight in the aluminum base for enhanced stability. Whether placed on a bedside table or a minimalist desk, the lamp provides a soft, atmospheric glow that captures the optimistic spirit of mid-century futurism while offering the tactile precision of contemporary manufacturing.
Highlights:
- Features a pioneering "total look design with a singular, organic form that eliminates the need for a separate lamp shade
- Hand-blown glass globe provides a diffuse, glare-free ambient light
- Equipped with an integrated rotary dimmer switch on the base, allowing for seamless transitions between task lighting and mood setting
- Includes a high-quality gray textile cord and is cETLus listed, meeting rigorous modern safety and electrical standards
