Seachem Flourish Excel

Flourish Excel™ provides a vital source of bioavailable organic carbon essential for healthy aquatic plant growth. While plants typically obtain carbon from CO2, Flourish Excel™ supplements this requirement by supplying simple organic compounds similar to photosynthetic intermediates. This dual approach allows aquarists to enhance plant vitality either independently or alongside CO2 injection systems.

In addition to its carbon benefits, Flourish Excel™ exhibits iron-reducing properties that promote the ferrous state of iron (Fe+2), which is more readily absorbed by plants compared to the ferric form (Fe+3). This feature supports optimal nutrient uptake and robust plant development. Formulated without phosphate or nitrate, Flourish Excel™ integrates seamlessly with Seachem’s full range of plant care products and is especially recommended for use with Flourite™ and Onyx Sand™ substrates.

Directions for Use: On initial application or following a major water change exceeding 40%, dose 1 capful (5 mL) per 40 L (10 gallons*). For maintenance, apply 1 capful per 200 L (50 gallons*) daily or every other day. In aquariums with vigorous plant growth, dosing can be gradually increased as needed. For precise dosing in smaller volumes, note that each cap thread corresponds to approximately 1 mL.
