For example, did you know the state motto, L'Étoile du Nord, is the only state motto that is in French? It was chosen by the state's first governor, Henry Hastings Sibley, and was adopted in 1861, three years after admission of Minnesota to the union. Within this puzzle you will find numerous symbols representing the great state of Minnesota. Can you name: The state flower? state muffin? state gemstone? state mushroom?
