At under 9.5 feet and 48.5 lbs, this is a kayak that's genuinely easy to own. It loads onto a car without a second person, stores in a garage without dominating it, and handles flat water, lazy rivers, and light surf with equal ease. The hull is stable and forgiving, which makes it a great fit for newer paddlers, but the performance is real enough that experienced paddlers keep coming back to it for casual days on the water.

The redesigned high-back frame seat is the most noticeable upgrade, offering firm support and infinitely adjustable recline so you can dial in your position for paddling or just drifting. Moulded footrests accommodate a range of paddler sizes, and the scupper holes drain water off the deck while keeping the hull buoyant. Scupper plugs (sold separately) are worth picking up if you plan to extend your paddling into cooler Canadian months. Storage is handled through large open areas fore and aft with bungee lashing, plus a centre hatch for valuables. A solo mount recess lets you add accessories or rod holders without drilling into the hull.
