Wecome to the beautiful island of the República de las Bananas, where the air is thick with humidity, mosquitoes, and an unhappy local population. Welcome to JUNTA! First published in 1979, JUNTA pits 4-7 players against each other as members of wealthy ruling families who eagerly siphon available foreign aid money into their secret Swiss bank accounts. You are truly an unsavory lot. This classic satirical title is everything but politically correct and is rife with opportunities to lie, cheat, steal, and decieve your fellow players. Combining a political card game of manipulation with a strategic board game of combat across the island during a coup, JUNTA is something to experience with friends and enemies, alike.
- Perfect for 7 players, but also supports 2 to 6
- Filled with dark humor and references
- Absolutely not politically correct
- Engage in negotiation, coercion, and influence
- An unpredictable game of political machinations and violent overthrows
