Narutotai Ginjo Nama Genshu Sake (CAN 720ml)

We call this the "gas can" sake because it comes in a cylindrical aluminum can. The can is what keeps this unpasteurized sake fresh and shelf stable. Besides its unique packaging, it has a striking flavor profile – with a sweet aroma of tropical fruit and melon, high acidity, and an assertive dry finish with a little heat. This is a genshu (tank strength) sake, meaning water is not added before bottling. It has a higher ABV for sake clocking in at 18.5%. Try this over ice.

Before Honke Matsuura was a sake brewery, it was run by a group of pirates in 1804! Thankfully for all sake lovers worldwide, the group pivoted to brewing in Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture (hence the product name "Narutotai" [-tai meaning sea bream, a famous fish in the city]).
