Model Shipways Basswood Strips 1/16x1/8x24 12 Pack

Build with confidence using Model Shipways Basswood Strips. This pack includes 12 strips measuring 1/16" x 1/8" x 24" (1.6mm x 3mm x 610mm), a versatile size for various scale modeling tasks. Basswood is the material of choice for ship modelers because it combines strength with workability. It features a tight, consistent grain that doesn't split easily, making it ideal for planking hulls or constructing deck furniture. The 1/16" thickness offers more rigidity than thinner veneers, making these strips suitable for structural framing or single-layer planking on smaller scales. They accept glue readily and provide a smooth surface for painting or staining.
