Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® Thermometer Spatula, w/ Detachable Probe

The Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® Thermometer Spatula allows you to accurately read temperatures while stirring in a single, high-performance tool. This dual use spatula/thermometer is designed to allow you to control temperature, without handling a separate thermometer, while melting chocolate, stirring sauces, making caramels, and more. Manufactured in France, this spatula is comprised of Exoglass®®, a proprietary composite material developed by Matfer. This material is non-porous, easy to clean and can be sterilized, and its long-lasting material will not deteriorate or rust over time. Spatula is heat resistant to 428° F. Removable thermometer can read -4° to 392° F and is watertight. The thermometer end extends down to the edge of spatula paddle, ensuring the probe is submerged to accurately read temperatures. Simple and conspicuous digital display at end of handle is easy to read. Temperatures can be displayed as either Fahrenheit or Celsius by pressing and holding the min/max button. Other settings allow you to display the maximum and minimum temperatures displayed during a single use. Thermometer is easily removable allowing it to be used as a traditional probe thermometer independent of spatula. Once thermometer is removed, spatula is dishwasher safe.
