Rubus idaeus 'Kiowa'
Enjoy these oversized sweet and flavorful blackberries - they are about as big as a blackberry can get! The canes are thorny, but the 6-week long, abundant mid-to-late harvest more than makes up for the thorns. Even heavy heat can't take these monsters down!
Tip the sturdy, upright canes when they reach 3-5’ in the spring and you won’t need a trellis. Easy to grow in most of the country; requires just 200-300 chill hours making them a great choice even through much of the South. USDA Zones 6-9
