- Precise Fit for Peterbilt 379/389 Designed to fit 2003-2007 Peterbilt 379 and 389 models, this hood restraint system is engineered as a replacement for OE numbers 13-01717 and HLK2046 (verify specific fitment with your vehicle’s VIN for accuracy). It is compatible with 10.8L and 12.5L diesel engine configurations commonly found in these model years, helping address potential issues from worn restraints, including hood instability.
- Multi-core high-strength steel wire design 31.5 inches (80 cm) center-to-center length, made of high-strength steel wire and zinc-plated for enhanced corrosion resistance. The cable diameter is 15% larger than the original equipment (OE) version, with a tensile strength of 800 Newtons, suitable for supporting long wheelbase hood loads.
- Pair Set Included Comes with 2 hood restraint cables (left and right sides) to support simultaneous replacement. Purchasing as a pair may save approximately 20% compared to buying two single units separately.
- Direct Installation with No Modifications Needed Features OEM-spec interfaces, designed to fit without drilling or modifications—typical installation time is around 15 minutes for users with basic mechanical experience. Engineered to match Peterbilt 379/389 hood hinge structures (verify fit with your vehicle’s VIN for precision).
- High durability Laboratory tested for excellent corrosion resistance, maintaining rust-free performance for over 3 years in controlled humid environment testing. Made of high-strength steel wire material, effectively resisting oxidation caused by rain, road salt, and humid environments.
