Guitar Scales and Chords You Can Actually Read!: Volumes 1 + 2 of 'Guitar Books You Can Actually Read' (Guitar Books You Can Actually Read!)

This book is the combination of volumes 1 and 2 of 'Guitar Books You Can Actually Read'Guitar Scales You Can Actually Read! This book was created out of a frustration in existing scales books which are full to the brim with poorly laid out, unduly complicated explanations that intimidate guitarists who want to learn scales. Many guitar players are visual learners who are more interested in learning the patterns comprehensively all over the neck than the theory behind them. If that sounds like you, then this is the book for you. I’ve deliberately omitted theoretical explanations, removed the fluff, and have got straight into the nitty gritty of learning the finger positions that you need to know to be able to solo all over the neck. The book contains open string scales, pentatonic scales and modes in every key, diatonic scales and modes in every key and arpeggios in 5 different transposable positions from major and minor triads right through to 13ths.These are all the most commonly used scales and positions which, when completed and memorised, will give you an usable fretboard knowledge to be able to improvise.Guitar Chords You Can Actually Read! This book was created to make finding guitar chords easy, and the innovative uses of colour coding of every key, combined with clearly labelled corner tabs make finding your chords easy. The chord shapes are presented using full colour photos of each chord in up to three positions per chord type, adding up to over 500 chords and positions. The aim of the game here is to help you to learn songs by aiding you to find your chords as quickly as possible. Other similar books use confusing charts and tables of contents to tell you where to look, but this book groups every key by a different colour and clearly groups each chord type. Each key is split into four double page spreads, and they are grouped as follows.Page OneMajor, Minor, Sus2, Add9, Sus4 and 6th chords;Page TwoMaj7, Min7, Dom7, m7b5 chords;Page ThreeMaj9, Min9, Dom9, m9b5 chords;Page Four11th, 13th, Dim7, Aug7 and Aug chords; This should make it incredibly easy to find the chords you need for the songs you are trying to learn and therefore improve your musicianship and repertoire.
