GOLDEN ACRYLIC GESSOS AND GROUNDS can be thought of as the bridge between your support (canvas, board or whatever you work on) and the paint or other art media. They offer artists a variety of ways to prepare substrates for acrylic or oil paintings, charcoal, pastels, watercolors and more.
- Gesso is formulated to be flexible and is highly pigmented to provide an opaque, white surface that is toothy and semi-absorbent. Gesso can be mixed with acrylic colors to produce a range of colored grounds
- For oil painting, a minimum of 3 coats are recommended to prevent oil from penetrating the underlying support
- CRAFTED to provide professional artists a variety of ways to prepare substrates for acrylic or oil paintings and other art media
- UNIQUELY FORMULATED to be flexible and is highly pigmented for greater opacity
- Made in the USA with globally sourced materials by an employee-owned company with more than 40 years of experience making paint for professional artists
