The BNSF Railway's Gateway Subdivision, spanning 203 miles from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Keddie, California, winds through the rugged, semi-arid high country of extreme northern California, joining Union Pacific's route at the renowned Keddie Wye. This line, nestled between the southern Cascades and northern Sierra Nevada, presents stunning views and significant challenges for railroaders. Captured in stunning Hi-Definition across all seasons, our footage showcases trains navigating the diamond at Stronghold, braving harsh winter conditions at Lookout, ascending mountain grades up to 2.2% near Almanor, and struggling to climb out of the Feather River Canyon. Enjoy this 1 hour 52 minute presentation on DVD with Stereo Sound and Narration, or upgrade to a WIDESCREEN, 1080i Hi-Definition Blu-ray BD-R, viewable with or without narration.
