FAQ
How often should I replace the filter?
Every 3–4 weeks for consistently fresh, clean-tasting water. The 6-pack covers roughly 6 months at the recommended interval — replace closer to 3 weeks in multi-cat homes.
Do I need to rinse it before first use?
Yes — soak the new filter in clean water for 1–2 minutes to rinse off carbon dust and saturate the filter before placing it in your fountain.
Which fountain does it fit?
It's precisely cut for the Fido Fave / Pokpet 5L cat water fountain (PT004) for a secure, leak-free fit. For the 10L dog fountains (PT001-2 / PT003), use PT002 instead.
Is activated carbon safe for cats?
Yes — activated carbon is a widely used food-grade and water-treatment material. It works by physical adsorption (bonding to particles and compounds) without releasing anything into the water itself. No chemicals, no byproducts.
Are these compatible with other cat fountains?
No — precision-cut specifically for the PT004 5L fountain filter housing. They won't fit other brand housings or the 10L fountains (PT001-2 / PT003, which use PT002 filters).
