Free Mobius iOS and Android app offer a significantly improved user experience through direct control and programming of Mobius enabled devices. Mobius will improve equipment performance and end the need for internet Wi-Fi-to-RF bridge (the Reeflink).

The L2 can be installed and operated as either a return pump featuring calibration and speed lock, or as a closed loop flow pump with random and pulsing modes.

Vectra pumps feature a sealed motor and magnetic drive for either internal or external operation, and it's this flexibility that make this pump the perfect fit for really any setup you want.

The Vectra driver features EcoTech's QuietDrive technology allows you to choose between the return pump or closed loop configuration, and access Vectra operational modes including Feed mode. QuietDrive also minimizes DC motor noise, communicates with other QuietDrive and Ecosmart compatible devices, and features a fully adjustable flow and improved thermal management.

Return pump modes include:
Constant Speed Mode – The pump produces flow at a constant speed determined by the position of a dial.
Feed Mode – The pump will temporarily pause the current mode and idle to allow food to be added.
Speed Lock – Lock in a desired speed on the pump by disabling the control dial, preventing accidental and unwanted changes.
Mobius Ready – Pumps are now shipped with Mobius firmware onboard and controlled via free Mobius app for iOS and Android.
Battery Backup Mode – If the power goes out, the L2 is compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup accessory.

Closed Loop Modes include:
Lagoonal Random – Simulates a low-energy lagoon environment.
Reef Crest Random – Simulates a high energy reef environment.
Gyre – Creates flow pattern of uniform clockwise and counterclockwise flow levels pulsing at a selected interval.

Vectra and VorTech Pumps with Mobius Ready FAQs

Q: How will I know if an unopened Vectra or VorTech has ESL or Mobius firmware installed?
A: The VorTech and Vectra products with Mobius firmware preinstalled will have a Mobius sticker on them, indicating their compatibility.

Q: What if I purchase an older VorTech with ESL firmware and want to use it on Mobius?
A: You will need to use the legacy product update feature in Mobius when it is available to update the firmware. This process takes about 10 minutes.

Q: What about VorTech and Vectra pumps that are currently in use on EcoSmart Live accounts?
A: They will be upgraded to Mobius in the future. Depending on the date of manufacture, they may need a firmware update available through the app. Older units may also require an RF module change. To determine whether an existing Vectra or VorTech is compatible, review the product information under the Devices tab in EcoSmart Live.
