Dynaudio Core SUB

I’m calling the Dynaudio Core SUB the dream subwoofer. It’s basically two of the Sub 6’s stacked on top of each other in one box. When we’re talking about the ideal low-frequency extension for your Core or LYD speakers, we’re talking about this big boy.

I have two of these in the Yarn building garage - that space is roughly 1200 sq ft. It sounds stupid to have two of these in that space, but I’m not doing it to double the output; I’m doing it for more coverage and to fill the room a little bit better. 

This Sub has (4) four 9” woofers, so 36” of excursion for air movement. It plays down to 15 Hz with a 6dB roll-off at 13.5Hz. Built inside are dual 500-watt (1,000-watt) Pascal class-D amplifiers. Low bass that is highly accurate. 

Use caution when moving this thing around. It weighs 108lbs, and you’re going to feel every bit of it when you pick it up. What really makes this thing fit the bill for me outside of its amazing output is the finish - the finish is perfect for the garage. It doesn’t look super pretty for the inside of a house, but the crinkle, rhino line-like exterior makes it perfect for our application.

If you’re planning to use a digital connection with this, you would simply plug your RCA to XLR adapter into the SUB OUT connection on the OSD Audio Nero and then plug into the Analogue In on the back of the subwoofer. For a cleaner look, the Nero comes with a bracket, so you can mount it on the back of the sub.

No real tuning is necessary; just set it up and jam out. My suggested setup with this sub would be a NAD C658, Core 47s or Core 59s, XLR Cable, and your wireless dongle. 

This sub will melt your soul and change your life. It truly is in a league of its own. A hefty speaker that isn’t large in size - as I mentioned before, I have two of these, and they fit nice and snugged next to my Sonic MSS Cabinets.
