- THE BEST INSURANCE POLICY FOR YOUR SWIMMING POOL DURING THE WINTER! An air pillows’ designed purpose is to act as an ice compensator for your swimming pool. When ice freezes, it expands. In a swimming pool, that means it expands outwardly – putting a ton of pressure on your swimming pool walls. THINK OF A WATER PIPE THAT BURSTS IN A HOUSE!
- SURFACE TENSION IS THE REMEDY! In a pools’ case, surface tension is defined as a liquid surfaces’ tendency to shrink into the minimum surface area as possible. The net effect is an inward force at its surface that causes liquids to behave differently. BY PLACING AN AIR PILLOW(S) ON THE SURFACE OF THE POOL WATER, YOU CREATE SURFACE TENSION THAT WILL CAUSE THE WATER IN YOUR POOL TO FREEZE FROM THE OUTSIDE IN – thus relieving the stress on your swimming pool walls!
- IF YOU OPEN YOUR POOL IN THE SPRING AND FIND DAMAGED AIR PILLOWS, YOUR INSURANCE POLICY PAID FOR ITSELF! While all air pillows are designed to withstand sub-zero temperatures – they are no match for the forces of encroaching ice (remember our bursting water pipes)! Nonetheless, we still treat our vinyl pillows with additives to help prevent fading.
- SIMPLY INFLATE YOUR DOHENY’S AIR PILLOW AND PLACE IT UNDER YOUR SWIMMING POOL WINTER COVER DURING THE WINTER SEASON! Do not overfill the air pillow – it can increase the risk of the valve popping out and deflating the pillow.
- DOHENY'S HEAVY-DUTY AIR PILLOWS MAKE SPRING CLEAN-UP A BREEZE! Includes grommets on kitty-corner ends.
