WHAT'S IN A MYSTERY BOX
We thoughtfully curate our mystery boxes into coordinated mini collections of antique and vintage treasures. We may even include an up-cycled piece (up-cycle means we've transformed vintage items to make something new and unique). Each collection will include multiple materials, e.g. textiles, china, metal, wood, etc… and can be used as a complete table-scape or separated for multiple uses.

All of our Mystery Boxes offer a great value with retail value exceeding the price.

THE EXPERIENCE
Our boxes are carefully wrapped for shipping then wrapped in rustic brown paper with twine bows. While we do recycle boxes, we do our best to make every Mystery Box gift-ready. See the pictures above to get a sense of what you'll see when you open your box.

VINTAGE NOTES
All of our "mysteries" have been curated with care, and the pieces are in all good vintage condition. That said, some items will show signs of wear as expected with age. Vintage is rarely perfect, which is part of what makes each piece unique.

OUR DARK ACADEMIA STARTER MYSTERY BOX
Each box contains at least 4 medium and/or small antique or vintage items that evoke the libraries of Cambridge, Oxford, or Harvard. The Dark Academia collection is based on the fashion and decor dark academia movement, it focuses in on things you might find in Sherlock Holmes' study, sophisticated, learned, and somewhat mysterious.

We are lifelong vintage treasure hunters. Five years ago we turned our hobby into a shop on Etsy (bixley.etsy.com) and our own independent Bixley shop. We've learned a lot over the years.
