he Danmar Swirl Support is a cervical soft collar used for minor to moderate head support, this neck support collar encourages easy head movement from side to side. This Swirl of soft foam wraps around the neck and has a velcro adjustment at the back that makes fitting a breeze. Used for minor to moderate head support, this neck support collar encourages easy head movement from side to side. Because it is not attached, the Swirl cervical soft collar can be used with any seating system and by individuals who are ambulatory. It is contraindicated for individuals with breathing or swallowing problems, or who use a trach tube. Properly fitted, the Swirl neck support collar should make contact with the chin and jaw line. If the chin slides inside the cervical soft collar it is too loose. You should be able to insert a finger between the neck and the collar to ensure that the collar is not too tight. Custom options include extended neck support collar length or thicker foam on right or left sides (call us for measurements). We also offer foam plugs, they fit into ventilation holes in the collar giving firmer support for clients who tend to lean in one direction or drop their heads forward. B-From the bottom of ear lobe, measure distance to shoulder, minus thickness of any chest support being used.
