You’ll see them in use on steak knives, chef knives, butcher knives, traditional hunting knives, and many others. They work very well for cutlery repair and new handle creation.
- Rivet Material = (2) Nickel Silver | Head Diameter = 0.187 in. (ea.) | Head Thickness = 0.063 in. | Our U.S.A. designed cutlery rivets are offered in three standard materials. We feature Stainless Steel, Nickel Silver, and Brass 2-part cutlery rivets. These material types are the most common for knife handle construction and will match most commercial cutlery rivets when replacing or repairing.
- Shaft Length = 0.43 in. | Shaft Diameter = 0.11 in. (.115 in. Joined) | Cutlery rivets are very easy to use. Simply align the tip of the shaft on shaft-A to the barrel opening of shaft-B and tap with a hammer against a hardened backstop surface. Once the two rivet parts are mated under pressure, they will form a bonded joint and will hold together indefinitely.
