To release the thread twist off the end cap, when you have finished you can tuck in the thread ends and twist the end cap back on. Neat way to tidy up those flapping and tangling loose ends! Good weight for hand piecing. Great for all long arm quilting, edge to edge, pantographs, custom quilting, needle (3.5, 4.0), pair with 40wt bobbin thread. Fine enough for ditch stitching and has sufficient presence to give good results for general quilting with motifs. Suitable for most all machine appliqué techniques: raw edge appliqué with a straight stitch, small zig zag, blind hemming stitch, blanket stitch. Suitable also for machine appliqué with buttonhole stitches. 40wt is the most popular machine embroidery thread weight. Machine piecing : Gives a perfect result with a nice flat seam. Perfect for quilting when you want to create texture, and also when you want to create a quilted motif which stands out a bit more. Same wt or Mako 50 wt in the same color in the bobbin. Use a Sharp/Microtex, quilting or even denim needles 80/12. Keep the machine clean while stitching. Brush the lint away from the needle every time you change the top thread.
