9.2 Oliana Rope

This all-purpose rope has triple standardisation (simple, double, and twin). It is mainly recommended for sport climbers who are looking for a light, high-performance rope. Its Fusion construction provides great security when climbing over sharp rocks and ridges. With a very contained diameter and weighing 58gr/m, it is excellent for on-sight climbing and demanding chaining. It is also an ideal rope for mountain guides who must use the “short rope” technique on rocky terrain and for climbing walls with rope teams made up of three climbers.

Oliana, in the Alt Urgell region (Catalonia), is one of the meccas for sport climbing worldwide. The high concentration of hard routes distributed between very few walls makes it an essential destination for sport climbers. There you can find 50-metre-long overhanging routes where the weight of the material has a great influence on the result of the climb.
