Wool is a natural material and a viable, sustainable alternative to plastic-based growing fabrics. Wool garden felt isn’t just environmentally friendly, it has the potential to contribute to soil health, create positive yields and become a positive gardening input.

A layer of wool felt over your gardens will suppress weeds from growing, feed the soil as it naturally breaks down, and conserve water by protecting the soil surface from evaporation all while also absorbing and retaining moisture, reducing the need for frequent watering.

Transforming locally sourced Canadian wool into practical, natural growing mulches that support sheep farmers as well as your garden. Wool breaks down over time, enriching the soil with nitrogen, potassium and other essential nutrients. This process acts as a slow-release natural fertilizer that feeds as it fades.
